Yamaha India stops the production of G5, Gladiator and Alba

Today Yamaha India announced the close the production of of G5 and Alba (both 106cc) and Gladiator.Also Yamaha made it clear that the models won’t be upgraded to BSIII norms. Yamaha launched the three new bikes in last week for the Indian Market, so company want to concentrate more on the new launched, said by Yamaha India.

Yamaha R15 Catches Fire

A Yamaha R15 caught fire in Hyderabad while the rider was negotiating a flyover. The cause of this fire still remains a mystery, with Yamaha officials opting to keep silent on this matter. The right side of the R15 was damaged by the fire, with the fairing charred. One of the possible reasons for the fire could be the leakage of fuel from the fuel tank or after re-fueling. Thankfully no one was hurt.

Yamaha India Launches 3 New Bikes

Japanese two-wheeler maker Yamaha on Wednesday launched three bikes in India priced between Rs 47,000 and Rs 59,000 a unit. The three motorcycles – SZ, SZ-X and YBR 125 -were unveiled in Greater Noida by actor and Yamaha brand ambassador John Abraham While SZ and SZ-X are powered by a 153cc engine, the YBR 125 will run on a 123cc engine.

“The launch of these three bikes are in line with Yamaha’s true commitment to provide world class product to its customers. “We are confident that these bikes will capture the imagination of the whole generation of bikers who are looking for something extra,” India Yamaha Motors chief executive officer and managing director Yukimine Tsuji told reporters.
