New Power Scooters From Mahindra

Mahindra is on a roll, chalking out new strategies and identifying new avenues for the two-wheeler market. The company has kicked off their aggressive expansion plans in India with the launch of two new power scooters – Rodeo & Duro – which will compete with the likes of recently launched New Honda Activa, Honda Aviator, TVS Scooty Streak, Suzuki Access & Hero Honda Pleasure. Rodeo is priced at Rs. 41,300 & Duro is available for Rs. 38,300 (ex-showroom Pune).

Mahindra Rodeo is the perfect choice for the young urban male, the it is a high performance, feature-packed scooter with a distinctly macho demeanour. Rodeo’s robust 125 cc engine offers 8.0 bhp of power, making it one of the most powerful vehicles in its class. Excellent pick-up and smooth acceleration ensures agility even in dense traffic and low maintenance costs.

Mahindra Duro with its stylish good looks and powerful 125 cc engine not only caters to the transportation needs of the entire family but is also the best value for money product in its category as it provides the customer with the highest value per unit of engine cc.

With this launch, Mahindra Two Wheelers now has three products as part of its scooter portfolio – the Mahindra Rodeo, the Mahindra Duro and the Mahindra Flyte that was introduced earlier.

Lohia Auto launches e-bikes

Lohia auto part of Lohia group launched two new electric bikes. Lohia auto will manufacture these electric bikes at Kashipur in Uttarakhand. The two e-bikes are priced at Rs. 25,000 and Rs.35,000. The prices of the two models – Oma & Fame, were kept same and it was before the tax rebate being offered by the Delhi government

According to Lohia auto, these e-bikes can go over 50 km per charge at a cost of only 10 paise a km. As the top speed of the e-bikes is limited 25km/hr, you do not need registration and license to run these bikes on road.

Unveiling the electric bikes on the inaugural day of the India International Trade Fair here, company President V. K Gupta said the e-bikes, developed with technical collaboration from Germany, were powered by 250 Watt motor rechargeable battery that could also be charged with an inverter or generator.
